Citizenship division

1. Accepts and examines documents for obtaining, regaining, terminating the citizenship of the Republic of Armenia,

2. Checks the knowledge of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia and Armenian language,

3. Submits cases on obtaining or terminating RA citizenship to the Office of the President of the Republic of Armenia,

4. Organizes the swearing-in ceremony of the citizens of the Republic of Armenia,

5. Provides citizenship information to the competent authorities and persons,

6. Implements the process of issuing identification cards and passports to persons who have received citizenship of the Republic of Armenia by the decree of the President of the Republic of Armenia,

7. Other functions defined by the RA legislation.
