Passport and Visas department of the Police of RA has summarized the results of the work carried out in the summer months of 2022, comparing it with the volume of work carried out in the same period of 2021. Thus, in 2022, the actions carried out by the Department and territorial passport services increased almost twice, in some passport services three times/have tripled/. So in the period from June 1 to August 31, 2021, 407,279 persons were served by carry out the actions of providing a passport, ID card, old sample passport, making notes on the validity of the passports for foreign countries, registration, providing public service number, getting RA citizenship, and in the same period of 2022, for the same actions, 762,024 personswere served.
In other words, in the summer of 2022, 354,745 more people were served. Moreover, the work of such volume was carried out with the same human resources.

We also inform that in conditions of almost double implementation of the functions, there was not even one case of violating the terms set by the law or other legal acts.At the same time, the leadership of the Department constantly controls over the scope and the quality of the work, parallels are drawn between quantitative changes in current and previous years' work, all possible measures are taken to ensure proper service to all applicants and the process of cases within the deadlines and in the manner prescribed by law. Measures are also being taken to find systemic solutions to the problems that have appeared during this period.Works are being carried out for completely switching to a new biometric system, as a result of which is planned to provide some services electronically, which will reduce queues and will improve the quality of services provided.
